Our crochet tank top is made of an intricate patchwork of panels, crafted by the expert knitters of the Manusa Cooperative, a Tuscan charity that supports disadvantaged people and especially vulnerable women by teaching them age-old skills and practical career advice. The top is made of yellow, purple and black dead stock yarn, transforming left-over materials into a geometric rainbow of textural squares, woven together with sustainable and super soft black alpaca wool which covers the back and forms the edging of the neck and armholes. This alpaca wool is certified following Responsible Alpaca Standard (RAS) which ensures the yarns are traceable and that ranchers meet animal-welfare, land management, and social requirements. Furthermore, the farmers do not use any chemical dyes, saving precious water and energy resources.
